2005 FISHING Season 10-15 Larry from ARI started off our striper charter season with a 42 inch, 28 pound striper using a live spot. Great work! We still have a few days left for Striper season. 7-10 Great wreck action with Triggerfish 7-3 Great trolling action on King and Spanish Mackerel, plus Bonita. 5-13 Well it was Friday the 13th, so maybe that had something to do with the slow fishing day. Of course, the wind didn't help either. On the bright side, the Coral Reefer had a couple of nice keeper flounder in the back bay, one of them being about 5 pounds. The water temp was about 59, so things might be looking up in the back bays. 5-12 9 Drum, 1 just under 70 pounds, and a 20 pound Striper. 5-03 Nothing but big Stripers and a Drum for us. Oh, and gorgeous weather. How was work for you? 4-29 Phenomenal Drum and Striper trip for Steve, A.D. and group. Drum to 60 pounds and Striped Bass to 30 pounds. They caught fish until they were too tired to catch anymore, so we came back! This may be the best Drum and Striper fishing in years. Book now or miss the action. Enough said! 04-27 Another beautiful day fishing the Delaware Bay. The Striper fishing was excellent. It's looking like it's going to be a great fishing season. 04-10 An absolutely beautiful day. Some nice Striper fishing happening in Delaware Bay. 03-05 We're booking Back Bay charters on the Coral Reefer, our new 1720 CC Key West. We are available for one or two man charters. Click for details. 2004-05 NC Tuna Season 03-24 Limit of Yellowfin and plenty of Wahoo afterward. Nonstop action all day. Don't wait to call. 03-11 Last chance to book a Gulf Stream trip from Beaufort. We are almost completely booked until Easter, but have a few charters still available. Because of huge demand back in Cape May, it's looks like we will be heading North for the beginning of the spring fishing season. 03-05 We're booking Back Bay charters on the Coral Reefer, our new 1720 CC Key West. We are available for one or two man charters. Click for details. 03-01 We are booking Gulf Stream charters for Wahoo and Tuna. The bite has been good. We are also filling up fast for fishing this summer in Cape May. Call before it's too late. 12-29 Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from the Outer Banks. We are waiting for the second commercial season to open, but in the meantime, there are fish to be caught if you're willing to call! 12-7 The season opens tomorrow for Giant Bluefin Tuna here in North Carolina, so I may not be able to answer e-mails promptly for a few weeks. If you are interested in fishing for Giant Bluefin Tuna, and don't miss the opportunity to do so, you should call me before it's too late. We are located for the winter at Town Creek Marina in Beaufort, which is across from Morehead City, below Cape Lookout on the Outer Banks. 12-6 Capt. Bill just called to tell me that he went out to tag some fish and released three Giant Bluefin Tuna, with three other hook-ups, and Capt. Bill was in the chair for an 85 incher weighing approximately 350 lbs. The fish are here!!! 12-3 Just arrived back from Morehead City. The boat is at Town Creek Marina in Beaufort, NC and is all ready to fish. We are waiting for the commercial season to open for Giant Bluefin Tuna. Stay tuned. Capt. Bill and I will be fishing in Morehead City, NC (below Cape Lookout on the Outer Banks of North Carolina) after Thanksgiving for the winter. We will fish the winter and early spring for giant Bluefin tuna. Gulf Stream trips for Yellowfin tuna, Wahoo and Kings (King Mackerel), as well as wreck fishing are also available. Please contact me for awesome package deals and information regarding these trips. Call me for updates at any time. 2004 Fishing Season Tuna bite is on! The fishing is great, the water was 80 degrees, and the weather was perfect. I hooked a 50# bluefin tuna with a swimming jig and it's quite a thrill to catch tuna on a jig!
6-12 That shotgun bang you heard marked the official start of the 2004 offshore season. Congrats to Charlie and crew on this real nice Mako caught during the South Jersey Shark Tournament:
2003 Fishing Season
Another fishing season has come and gone. Thanks goes to all those who came fishing with us in 2003. Please have a safe, happy, and healthy winter. We look forward to fishing with you in the upcoming 2004 fishing season.
Another reason to give thanks!
12-04 The following sums up our day: "Great weather, great group, and tough fishing." We had to pick through a bunch of small Stripers to come home with 5 keepers. I believe the fish were around, and we tried very hard, but we didn't find them. I wish I could say that we'll get them tomorrow, but with the weather that's moving in, that's not going to happen until next week.
11-29 A front moved through with high winds, so today's trip had to be cancelled. We expect it to subside by dawn tomorrow, so tomorrow should be fishable.
11-28 A dozen big fish today and many, many, more bites. One recommendation: Listen to the mate, he's there to help.
11-27 Happy Thanksgiving! The Top Shelf went on a fun trip today and had limited out in a few hours.
11-26 We've been fishing most every day. What an awesome day. Today: 21 Keepers. Perfect weather, great company, and hungry fish! A limit Striper catch for Dave, Pam, and friends.
10-13 What a perfect fall day in the Rips. Lots of birds, herring, sunshine, and an 18 lb. Striper for Adam (his first, since there aren't many Stripers out in Minnesota). Call now for fall bookings before it's too late. This fall striper season is happening NOW!
8-27 The Tuna bite has turned on, and most trips are catching Bluefins and/or Yellowfins, with Dolphin mixed in. Finally!
8-5 A Southerly wind has been chilling the water for too long now. Fishing has been sporadic and requires more work and patience than in past years. Bluefish are abundant in areas that they shouldn't be abundant in. Hopefully, with a push of some warmer water, these bluefish will head north and the Tuna will settle in. Right now, the tuna that are being caught are being caught on the troll.
The backbay fishing has been pretty good, with Stripers being caught with regularity.
7-11 Some very nice black seabass were caught today, including a nice 3.5 pounder (weighed at the marina scale). The trip consisted of dad and his three teenage boys spending the day together fishing. Great memories all around. Guys, time isn't standing still, don't wait until it's too late, take that kid fishing today!
7-7 THE TUNA ARE HERE! 5 beautiful Bluefin today! With the great weather and great fishing, what are you waiting for?
Past fishing seasons
6-24- Tim and the kids caused quite a buzz around the docks today with their fluking skills. Forget doormat, here's a 10# wall to wall carpet!
Winter break
We are enjoying a fantastic winter break and are anticipating another awesome fishing season. We hope you'll be able to join us.
