Our Philosophy It's a pretty simple concept, you want to catch fish and have fun doing it. It is also a concept that some captains and crews take for granted. Our number one goal at Serenity Now Sportfishing is providing you with the opportunity to catch fish, in a friendly team environment. Our Fishing Fleet We charter boats ranging from 17 to 44 feet to
accommodate all types of fishing and feature an awesome 44 Henriques
Sportfisherman, the Top Shelf. Our Seasons Inshore: We will start fishing in March for Mackerel. Soon after the Mackerel arrive, Striped Bass, Black Drum, Bluefish, Tautog (or Tog) and Sea Bass make their presence known. Weakfish and Flounder trips begin in May. Striper fishing in the famous Cape May rips (a rip is a shoal) is incredibly popular and Cape May is fast becoming the ripfishing capital of the world. Offshore: Shark Fishing starts off our offshore season in late May. The Tuna arrive in mid-June, followed by the Dolphin and Billfish (Blue and White Marlin) in the beginning of July. We also at times catch Spanish Mackerel, Wahoo, Cobia, Albacore, Bonita and Swordfish when the conditions are favorable for these species. Tuna: Tuna fishing is one of our specialties. We only fish the finest equipment. One of the unique aspects of tuna fishing out of Cape May is that many of the most productive Tuna grounds (East Lump, 19 Fathom Lump, Massey's Canyon, Cigar, 750 Squared, Ham Bone, Hot Dog, Arlene, Tea Cup, Elephant's Trunk) are only 20-50 miles from Cape May, so there's more fishing time, and less travel time. Please see our Tuna page for more information. Remember to come visit us in Morehead City, North Carolina for Giant Bluefin Tuna fishing from December thru March and some of the best Yellowfin tuna fishing anywhere later in the winter and early spring. Canyon Fishing: Please see our Offshore page for more information. We fish the Spencer, Lindenkohl, Wilmington, Baltimore, and Poorman's canyons. Tournament Fishing: If you'd be interested in arranging to compete in any of the following action-packed fishing tournaments held in Cape May for 2007, please contact me directly, and as soon as possible: South Jersey - ASA Spring Striper Open South Jersey Shark Tournament Jim's Bait and Tackle Shark Tournament Mid-Atlantic Tuna Tournament South Jersey Big Bass Open Our Guarantee We pledge that you and your group will be treated honestly and fairly. You can count on us to provide you with an honest and accurate fish report, so that your expectations of success can be realistic. We will leave the wild, exaggerated or false claims to those who don't share our commitment to the customer. Even if you plan to fish with someone else, please feel free to call or e-mail me to get the latest accurate Cape May fishing report.
